The cost of proofreading and editing depends on the size of the project and the level of work required. However, I offer a few general guidelines to help estimate the cost.
Instead of charging an hourly rate, I charge based on the number of words submitted for review to help keep pricing consistent. Here are the general pricing guidelines:
Proofreading $3-5/page
Copy Editing $5-6/page
(For pricing purposes, a page is 250 words.)
